The essential feature of the internal construction is the homogeneous resin and glass fibre bond over the complete insulated surface of the ZnO varistor elements.

The arrester module has good conductivity even when high cantilever loads are applied and provides a uniform dielectric at the insulated surface of the ZnO elements.

No air gap therefore no internal ionisation
Light weight compared to porcelain
Ease of installation
Non shattering housing
Vandal proof
