Sentek

The Sentek company began life in 1991, designed to manufacture a range of comprehensive electrochemical sensors, for both laboratory and industrial applications.

Three years later in 1994, Sentek acquired a new premises in Essex which included an improvement in facilities. The most prominent of these improvements is a development and research laboratory which can offer guidance on difficult and unusual applications.

The market began to expand throughout the 1990s, and the start of the new millennium saw Sentek open a further unit of production in Scotland.

Sentek as a company, has doubled since the end of 1998.

One of Sentek's key principles is the quality in their products. In 1997, Sentek received the ISO 9002 approval from the British Standards Institute, for the Manufacture of electrochemical sensors. Since then, Sentek have also received the BS EN ISO 9001:2000 standard.

Despite this, the biggest success in the eyes of Sentek is their flexibility and willingness to supply customers with customised probes. A large chunk of Sentek's business is the production of probes for manufacturers of pH, Conductivity and DO2 meters. Some of these customers are among the largest in the business on an international basis.
